DIRECT CARE POSITIONS

Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. has openings for Direct Care positions at our DCF funded S-FIT Program, a short-term home and respite center for children.

First Shift Saturday-Sunday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

Two Positions on Second Shift Saturday-Sunday 2:00 PM-10:00 PM

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have no less than 2 years experience in the delivery of child welfare services. Experience providing direct services to diverse population who present with challenging behavior preferred, demonstrated ability and knowledge of the cultural, linguistic or experiential backgrounds of the children to be served and multi-lingual capabilities that are relevant to children served. Must meet the physical demands of the position; must be able to bend, sit, and stand for periods of time; manage stairs; run/walk quickly; must be able to lift 50 pounds. Each worker needs to be successfully trained in Physical and Psychological Management Training. Medication Administration Certified, CPR/ First Aid and bilingual a plus. Must pass DCF and Police checks, have a current CT Driver’s License and a clean motor vehicle record. Hourly Rate is commensurate with experience.

LEAD DIRECT CARE POSITIONS

Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. has an open position for a Lead Child Development Specialist at our DCF funded S-FIT Program, a short-term home for children.

First Shift-Saturday-Sunday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

Second Shift--Saturday-Sunday 2:00 PM-10:00 PB

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and have no less than 2 years experience in the delivery of child welfare services. Experience providing direct services to diverse population who present with challenging behavior preferred, demonstrated ability and competence in supervising staff; knowledge of the cultural, linguistic or experiential backgrounds of the children to be served and multi-lingual capabilities that are relevant to children served.
