Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. is seeking a Case Worker to offer guidance, assistance, and links to service for homeless youth at our Resource Center. This is a part time position three hours per week each Saturday. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in related field and relevant experience in the social service and non-profit field with knowledge of and training in high- risk youth and family issues/needs. Candidates must have experience in needs identification, and a working knowledge of the Waterbury and available area services/resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software/computer literate; data collection and report preparation experience a plus. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required. Clean DCF, background and motor vehicle checks are required. A valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle and current insurance coverage are required. Bilingual is desirable but not mandatory. This is a grant funded position; hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. has openings for per diem positions all shifts for Direct Care Staff for our Safe Home program. Our Safe Home/Rainbow House is a short-term residential home for abused and/or neglected children ages 6 -13 placed by Department of Children and Families. Direct Care Staff are responsible for the supervision, teaching and care of children in residence. Ideal candidates must meet the physical demands of the position; must be able to bend, sit, and stand for periods of time; manage stairs; run/walk quickly after a child; must be able to lift 50 pounds; have a minimum of two years experience working with children with emotional, social and/or behavioral issues; flexibility with work schedule. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Medication Administration Certified, CPR/ First Aid and bilingual a plus. Must pass DCF and Police checks, have current CT Drivers License, clean driving record and insurance. Hourly Rate, commensurate with experience.
