Positive Youth Development After-school Program

The youth in our PYD program have been very busy this spring. They participated in an essay contest on what "Easter Means To You". Two winners were chosen and they each received an Easter Basket filled with goodies.

A grant from the Connecticut After School Network provided by the IBM Global Work/Life Fund was awarded to support the implementation of the Kids Create & Invent Curriculum.

Science projects such as how to get an egg in a bottle and making an egg float were done. They even made ice cream!! They did experiments to learn about what causes acid indigestion and how to self propel a vehicle. The participants enjoyed themselves while learning.
